A project becomes truly holistic when exterior architecture and interior design are seamlessly interwoven and mutually reinforcing. In the Single-family house “Malinova Dolina,” we had the opportunity to explore and develop this concept. Entire façade volumes extend into the living space, creating a bold, monumental, and memorable expression. The interior palette is monochromatic, enriched with extensive wooden surfaces. Natural materials and large-format claddings establish a sense of timeless elegance and refined architectural character.
The living area unfolds across two levels, with a custom-designed staircase that appears to almost levitate within the space. A comfortable seating composition gathers the family at the heart of the home. At the center of the suspended façade, a solid volume integrates the TV and fireplace. Generous glazing opens up the views and floods the interior with natural light.
The kitchen features a large island and a concealed storage pantry. A key design highlight is the window placed between the upper and lower cabinets, reinforcing once again the strong connection between the architectural concept and the interior design.
The staircase leads to the second level, where the bedrooms are situated. A distinctive feature is the roof glazing above the circulation path, together with the parquet flooring that extends from the floor onto the solid balustrade, creating a continuous material expression.
The lighting elements throughout the interior are minimalist and black in character. A large statement fixture accentuates the living area, while wall paneling with integrated storage conceals the entrance to the office. Heating and cooling are provided through underfloor heating and floor convectors, keeping the interior free of visible technical elements.
