A single-storey house? Absolutely possible - and without compromising the layout. The project combines generous, light-filled spaces, distributed across three bedrooms, two home offices, and a spacious open-plan living room with kitchen and dining area. It also includes a home gym, utility and laundry rooms, two bathrooms, and two covered parking spaces. The layout is organized in an L-shaped configuration, carefully positioned to create a more private and sheltered inner courtyard.
Located near Sofia on a 255 sq. m plot, the house follows a more traditional architectural expression with a contemporary interpretation. The pitched tiled roof has a clean, simple form that wraps the volumes, forming a generous covered veranda and providing passive shading during the hot summer months. Two stone-clad end walls frame the composition and further “shelter” the building. The courtyard-facing façades are extensively glazed, while the veranda, finished in composite decking, adds warmth and texture. The pitched roof also shapes interesting and dynamic interior spaces.
